Do the stats ranked up by MA up / EN up / etc shuffle cards carry over in fusion or is it just a temporary bonus?

An absurd number of dialogue options are locked behind Courage

I'm fairly certain stat buffs do not carry over to fused Personas. But people have used them to take Izanagi to end-game, so they're still incredibly abusable if that's your bag.

And yeah, most of the fun choices are behind courage. I always hate grinding social stats in these games because you never know what's important before it's too late. Then on New Game + you've already maxed them out anyway so they're largely irrelevant. >_>

The shuffle card bonuses are permanent, but IIRC, the Persona stats don't affect the fusion results.

Generally, you do the dungeon in one/two days and then SLinks afterwards

I'd say do the opposite. Save people first, then do your social links after. The story will still wait until the deadline to progress and you no longer have to worry about having enough time. The only exception being the dungeon in December. That one you should do everything first.

The soundclip is (hidden) in the PS2 disc of Persona 4. Would be rather odd if it was hidden away in P4 but intended for another game.

Its to motivate you to play the game a second time. Your social stats carry over in NG+, so they'll already be maxed out.

Same reason you aren't expected to complete all the social links the first time around.

And the multiple endings.

Depends. If I recall correctly, party members won't be available to go out until after you finish the dungeon, so you're kind of pressured to finish it sooner.

If you care about unlocking gear from Daidara, you could do the dungeon on the first Rainy day available, because there are certain shadows that only appear when its raining. So, the materials they drop can only be acquired on rainy days.

The only dungeon you really DO NOT want to do right away is December's. Do it on the last day possible, because it will skip all remaining days once you clear it.

You really want to finish the dungeon in one day though. The limiting factor, especially early on, is SP management. Around level 18 - 20, fuse the Persona Sarasvati, she learns Invigorate 2, which restores 5 SP for you every turn. Makes a huge difference, especially if you can get several/all of the elemental spells on her too.

Another early game tip, get the Persona Slime and level it up. It learns Resist Physical. Cutting the physical damage Yu takes in half, which is huge for your survivability.

Every party member has a buddy follow up attack like that with someone. You just haven't gotten the party member he can do it with yet.

I think SMT and Persona games differentiate between the two names these days. Like Nocturne and SMT5 call it Zan, while P4G and P5R call it Garu.

Nah, if you don't get the true ending, just reload and try again. No need to replay the whole game when you often (not always) just need to choose one different option

Probably why I greatly prefer Persona 5. All those twists were completely unexpected. At least for me.

The best part about Persona 5 is how they subverted the expected. I expected the bad guys to be who they were, but the story had a very Arsene Lupin type of meandering to it.

Which no one really thought about until the game replays that scene for you. It was very subtle until it didn't need to be.

Also, that's not even the big reveal or twist.

While I suspected the P4 killer early on, I also thought they could've been a red herring.

But either way she definitely has more than one line delivery style and I wonder if that's an artifact of the added content of the Golden release

It shouldn't be. Chie (and several other characters) had a completely different voice actor in the base game. So all of Chie's lines were re-recorded for Golden.

I don't think so, I think the joke is just how quickly she says "no" without even thinking about it or considering it

Was that only in Golden? I don't remember that. I remember the first interaction as he shows up with your uncle at home briefly after arriving near the very beginning of the game.

It's in the original, even the scene you're thinking of there's still very little known to the player that implicates him.
