I think I heard about immunocompromised people getting a second booster. So, we should be hearing about the rest of us getting one in a couple of months.

I heard possibly March depending on how things go, but also they're working a variant resistant vaccine

I don't know but 1st booster kicked my ass for like a week. Would still get 2nd but I do not want that to happen again.

Scientists were saying ongoing shots may be required long before conspiracists latched onto it. All conspiracists did was take that and try and make out it's a bad thing (and that it's 100% certain instead of just "most likely").

That's generally how they've operated FYI. Find what the science is saying before that information reaches the general public, and twist the same answers to make them sound planned.

Yeah, I'd actually been considering putting off my booster until that updated one was available for it, but then they shortened the wait time between 2nd and 3rd shots, and now I figure between that and how slow NZ will likely be at actually obtaining the updated shot (given how long the first two doses took to roll out here), I'll be due again by the time it's here so... off to get the booster next week. Eligible on Wednesday, but also busy all day so Thursday it is.

I was gonna hold off on the booster, but like whatever it's free and if there's another, that's free too, so I might as well just get it asap which I did and will get the updated one whenever available. There's no more lines or waiting for the shot, so I don't mind popping in to get one.

Yeah we had one person come in the other day for their second booster. It's only for the immunocompromised right now. Make you sign a waiver and all that.

yeah thats how vaccines work bro. You have to get a flu shot every year too

the only reason they keep calling it boosters instead of annual vaccinations is because they know too many people will flip out when they realize theyre going to have to get the covid vaccine forever if they dont want to die from it

The reasoning behind my thinking was that I don't want to get the (original-shot) booster, only for two weeks later the updated one to arrive here and then be faced with "you can't get it until 3 months after your last shot" or whatever.

But with the shortening of the wait time between 2nd and 3rd dose, I'm pretty sure now that I'll be eligible again by the time the updated shot gets here.
