Right now, probably. The consoles being scalped don't have games I want yet, and I would still not want to reward scalpers.

I think would be. I don't think I'd want to pay more for a video game console than I had to even if I had millions of dollars.

I haven't really had that situation arise. My idea is basically the first few million new consoles are more prone to issues longterm anyway, also when the thing has the least amount of games to play on it, so I'm ordinarily in no rush to get a console and am mostly fine waiting a year or so to get one if I really want one.

I could easily afford a scalped PS5, but I'm not really wanting a PS5 right now. We're fine with our Switches, and our laptops in this household, with older generation Xboxes and Playstations collected dust.

My lack of any new console isn't a money/availability issue. I just don't want one yet. I'll probably be after one when Starfield comes out. But at the moment, I'm not paying 450 for my games to look better.
