Why would you set a coworker on fire? If they are a douche report it to management and ask to be moved to another department if possible. Anyway, it's crazy that it escalated to attempted premeditated murder and suicide. Sounds like he just gave up on life beforehand and resorted to a extreme and didn't want to face the consequences.

At least he's gone. Hopefully the victim can recover as well as possible.

While he wasn't innocent, you should have wanted him to live to face the law and pay for the crime he did. Trying to spin suicide as a positive thing is sick.

Paying for what he did=sitting in prison for a couple of decades. It doesn't do anything to reverse the damage to the other nurse's body. Either way he won't hurt anyone again. I don't understand why you're upset.

It's suicide. You don't make light of it or act like it's a good thing. What don't you understand?

I don't make light of suicide. Many people have those thoughts because they're in pain or in a constant state of sadness, loneliness and hopelessness. Going through that is sad. This dude committed a crime and decided to take his life because he was going to get caught. I'm not going to feel sorry for him.

I know Hitler comparisons are pretty tired now, but who tf says "I wish Hitler didn't commit suicide so he could have been rehabilitated"?

Likely some sort of slight or animosity in the workplace. Doesn't justify it, but that's what usually causes a toxic workplace environment.
