Apparently it can help the drug she took increases blood flow to the heart. Increased oxygenation reduces fatigue thus enhancing performance.

Hearing she might get disqualified from the singles she was favored to win. IOC cant name her since she is a minor so it will be interesting their excuse for why she isnt at the singles event.

The Russians shouldn't be able to compete at all. The whole ROC thing is trash and none of the athletes should be there.

Yes, hence the whole ROC thing.

I somewhat follow figure skating because my Mom is huge into it. It's easy to go "Welp Russia is doping again!", but in this case there's a lot more to it than that.

Valieva's coach Eteri Tutberidze has a terrible reputation among her former students and the FS community for making the girls skate injured, keeping them from their family, starving them if they fuck up, the whole package of an evil coach stereotype. But she gets medals out of them so she stays employed because Russia.

Interestingly, Tutberidze has two other girls at this Olympics (was supposed to be a Russian podium sweep in ladies singles) who didn't test positive, nor did any of the other Russians in the team event.

So tl;dr, this isn't Russian state doping practices that caused the ROC in the first place, but an insane coach pumping her best student with drugs to gain a medal that she probably would have won anyway.

Feel bad for the other people in the team event who will likely lose their medals because of this, and ever worse for Valieva, because no 15 year old should be on peds period. You have to know this wasn't her choice, just her coach feeding her BS about it being the best way to win.

Maybe they should try actually punishing Russia instead of just changing their team name tbh

This is why Tom Brady and Bill Belichick should not be allowed in the hall of fame. Cheaters don't learn when they're caught. They just find better ways to disguise themselves.

Not to mention, for all the times cheaters get caught cheating, think about the number of times they've cheated and haven't been caught.

Its hilarious because theyre not even competing as Russia because Russia is already been banned for previous doping

russia isn't a thing in the olympics right they are "ROC" but they are still doing steroids. just ban russia and anyone from russia. roc shouldn't be a thing.
