This is a completely baffling take to me, well since JPRGs for decades have been filled to the brim with the cringiest, ham fisted dialogue ever and extremely tropey characters. And thats just accepted. Merging the elements that make video games unique and elevating them to a new level. I think the dialogue in particular in this game is refreshing. Not because it seems super deep. But the fact that the MC seems to be an ordinary person reacting very realistically to being a fish out out of water in a fantasy land. And not like a typical over the top, completely unrealistic JRPG character. Saying this dialogue is cringe seems like the most short sighted criticism Ive seen. And youre not the first, so I really need someone to explain it to me I guess. Hence this random rant out of seemingly nowhere. --- Like 90% of CE topics are the same way lol.
