The idea is that regardless of the whole affair you can pretty easily look past the message of the comic and instead focus on the pictures because they are highly evocative. Liberalism isn't a monolith so the act of thinking any one particular thing isn't really a given, and doubly so when your main binding force is capitalism. Compare that to the first one acts like you can't be Christian and liberal, or the second one where I still am floored that there isn't a version of the "popular" version of that comic with all of the people dying on Facebook appended on as a comparison: the two of them are so nonsensical that you can't get anything out of them but the writer has the mental fortitude of the children that he's aiming at.
