Mine was going to michellene star restaurant for a wedding reception and they cooked the thicc af ribeye steaks with butter.

Mine was a month after delivering my baby and my husband took me to a fancy Japanese place where I ordered the expensive af omakase. Had a difficult pregnancy where I could barely eat anything the entire time combined with not going out during the pandemic and things just finally were opening up. Best meal ever. One of the omakase courses was some wagyu beef. So delicious.

I was raised around Kansas City barbeque so I've never really had a moment like that

This. Fancy dinners dont do it for me. I know all my favorite spots around KC and I keep them in rotation.

I made a soup the other day, probably the best thing I've had that I didn't buy out in a while.
~I still have plenty left.

Before that, I had wanted a club sandwich for about two weeks, so when I finally got it there was that feeling.

i was raised in a household where good home cooking was the norm, and as an adult i learned everything about cooking that my Italian mother had to teach me, then i learned more, then i taught her a few things, so i guess i've never really been away from good fucking food for long enough to say "finally" when i get back to it.

Same well more or less. But ya there is an Italian influence in almost everything I make.
There has been oil in the house except for Olive Oil for decades.

Side note: I was once put in charge of making Spaghetti at my friends house a few Christmas back.
Apparently, they didn't know what to do...and the person that brought the ingredients brought a sauce that had bones in it. To this day I still mind blown about that.
