There will be a statement saying something like "This settlement is not us admitting guilt. It's just cheaper to settle." I mean it probably is, but that's such bullshit.

I wouldn't be surprised if she's at the point where she's tired of fighting.
  • Get pressured into not reporting it at all
  • Work up the courage to report it, get gaslit and lied to
  • Actually get a case going, the powers that be give the responsible parties a pass or let them off easy
  • Repeatedly have to answer why you didn't report it sooner


Over and over for years and years and years. Mounting legal costs, stress, worry, etc.

Hope they do what they did with Bill Cosby and use the stuff said in the settlement to charge him for rape in another case. IIRC that was how they got Cosby convicted.
