Doesnt really seem like an issue, they are extending the window in which they can work, but keeping the same restriction on how much work they can put in per school day and work week.

But theres always places that will go the corrupt route and start expecting teens to work a full 6am to 11pm on saturday. Those places need to be shut down.

I remember seeing the kids who had jobs when I was in high school. They all looked miserable.

That is what happens when you go to school, then go to job, then go to sleep. rinse. repeat.

the real issue is they know full well the governor will veto this so theyre just wasting taxpayer money posturing, so they can claim they tried to address worker shortages while the governor (whose power they kneecapped in a lame-duck session after he was elected) didnt do anything

In the 90s I worked until Kmart closed on weekdays. It was 11pm if I remember correctly. Have things changed since then? Are kids not allowed to work like we worked?

I remember when I was young, I was only allowed to work the weekends until I turned 16. Not sure if that was a state or company law though.

When I was 14 I worked at McDonald's, though during the school year only 15 hours max per week, no later than 7pm. This was when I lived in FL and I live in WI now
