Are you surprised that the truck convoy protesters are losing the support of Canadians?

66% of Canadians SUPPORT Justin Trudeau's decision to invoke the Emergencies Act to remove the truck convoy protesters who have parked their large ass vehicles at the border with the United States and even support it if people have to DIE to get it done and are warning the Conservatives if they continue to support them at the next federal election!!

Maru Public Opinion Poll says however that neither the federal liberals or any other level of government should take this as a level of support for their management as a slim majority says all politicians should be ashamed for letting these protests go as long as it has.

John Wright, a pollster says the siege in Ottawa is causing an international problem to the world and is embarrassing Canada and want this to go away asap and they want this act passed as a fuel by the sense for wanting to accomplish something to end this after Trudeau has sat on this for weeks and refusing to meet with the racist convoy

The emergency act which hasn't been used in 50 years allows government to freeze banks that is funding the illegal protests and are receiving donations from the conservatives around the world to keep it going as well as ordering tow truck operators to tow away the large vehicles blocking the border

But the "freedom convoy" says they will keep coming back until whatever it takes blocking trade with the states and hurting the Canadian economy until both their demands are met 1) all mandates are dropped and 2) Justin Trudeau resigns as leader and orders yet another election

Today, The Conservatives and Bloc joined forces to hold a vote to end all mandates today but the Liberals were joined by the NDP and Jagmeet Singh who reluctantly supported the Emergencies Act and said he will withdraw support if it's abused. He said the truckers are intending to overthrow the government and that is an act of terrorism

The Poll also showed that Canadians would want the act passed even if people get HURT or DIE in the process!! Wright said "The visceral reaction to this by Canadians is: If there are casualties or if eople get hurt, that's just part of removing people"

They also warned Conservatives that if they continue to side with the trucker convoy to keep the borders closed while posing pictures of those with swastikas that they will pay DEARLY at the polls.

Wright said "If you have supported this, it will come back and haunt you. The very volatile situation in Ottawa is solidfying the views of Canadians that if you're on the wrong side of this, you're going to pay a significant price"

It's already shown now that families and friends are now splintered across the country with those that refuse to be affiliated with the truck convoy protesters

The Liberals are still favoured to win the most seats at the next federal election if held today with 155 seats and Conservatives at a standstill at 118 while NDP has grown to 30 seats .

Are you surprised that the Convoy is losing support of Canadians?

Cons have probably guaranteed themselves another Trudeau majority with their actions the next time an election comes around. Really short sighted behaviour here.

This is causing huge strain with the US since many of the northern state factories rely on Short Run operation... they don't maintain a surplus of spare inputs.

The Emergency Act has technically never been used before as it was introduced under Brian Mulroney in '88 to replace the War Measures Act, that was used by Trudeau's father when he was Prime Minister.

But the "freedom convoy" says they will keep coming back

Going to be pretty hard to "come back" from their year in jail

It never had much support to begin with, any perceived widespread support came from the international right wing media machine.

And even then, the vast majority of its support was "It'd be nice if things opened up a bit more," not "these restrictions need to go now and I don't care who has to suffer to make that happen."

The anti protestor protests are really getting going too. Police standing in between the groups, arresting those that are protesting against the protestors. It's really fucked up.

But since the Canadian government has basically demonstrated that this sort of protest is ok. I think truckers, who clearly have nothing better to do, should park their rigs in front of police station parking lots so they can't get out. Lock the useless police in their building to prove defunding them is fine since clearly they don't do their jobs always.

The only thing Canadian police are good for is assaulting natives, homeless people, and anyone that interferes with the business interests of Daddy Petrochem.

And 2 years ago I wouldn't have believed that.

You have to remember the RCMP (formerly the North West Mounted Police) was a paramilitary organization meant to be the forefront of western expansion, and the apparatus for "civilizing the savage frontier," with every new settlement getting a police detachment and a masonic lodge; so the police in Canada have always been entwined with the economic interests of the ruling class. Of course if you look into Robert Peel and the history of policing, serving the economic interests of the upper class is a common theme.

Heck it wasn't until the 80's that the intelligence arm of the RCMP was spun off into it's own agency (CSIS)

They were the official professional child kidnappers until last year when somebody had the genius idea to blame it all on the Catholic Church.
