Things like item descriptions, codex entries, in-game books etc.

They put a lot of work into something they have to know less than 1% of players read.

If I did that, I would make a secret item called "Penis" and the description would be "penis penis penis penis..." for as long as the text could be.

I have to give props to the writers of the Metroid Prime series logs. Those are some of the most interesting non-plot-essential info logs I've ever read in a game. Learning about the scientists, space pirates, and natives of the various planets that Samus visits really brings the game to life. Some of them are quite cheeky, too.
