Since august Ive been living with my SO, at a shit-pay job. Its mostly been okay though since I dont have to pay rent while Im here. However, the lease here ends in about 12 weeks and theres no way Im gonna be able to not pay rent after we move lmao. On top of that, student loan repayment is kicking back up.

Ive got 3 months to find a job that pays way better than my current one.

anyway whats up with you

Got 6 new truck drivers to train at work. Usually have at most two.

Kids have school vacation this week. Taking a long weekend starting Wednesday to do some fun stuff with them. Gonna go to a hotel with a pool in Boston for a few days. Hit a couple museums and the aquarium.

Buying a V70R this week. Been looking for one for a while. This one's automatic. Would prefer a manual but they're kinda tough to find in reasonable shape so I'll take what I can get. Gonna be a project car I'll work on with my oldest

Fuck student loan debt though I feel for you. My wife is close to having hers all paid off finally

Ive been trying I must really suck at interviews because Ive been to a dozen and never gotten a call back. Even from things like cash center, fast food, etc.

Everywhere seems to be hiring so thats not a bad idea. I sorta suck at customer service type jobs, but I guess its worth a shot.

That sounds like a fun small vacation! Anywhere in particular youre hoping to visit? I drove a bus for about a month in college. But I ran a red light (in my personal car) and got my license revoked

Worked for AT&T as a Prem Tech for a couple years. Top pay was like $32/hour. Not a bad gig if you don't mind the weather elements.

Went to the Railroad after that. Been making $80k-$120k/yr for the last 7 years.

Now I'm moving onto a plant job where I'll be in the $175k-$190k range.

None of these require a degree and don't require any prior experience. Not interviewing well will definitely hurt you though. From what I've seen in the last year the railroads have been hiring like crazy, especially where I am. They're hurting for people.

Wouldn't you (read:fig) need prior experience for that sort of thing, though?

No. There are plenty of entry level corporate jobs that require nothing. TC has a Masters degree. That would make him competitive for almost any corporate job that is entry level to management. Probably not management right away but he'd be competitive after working other jobs at the company.

But it's soul sucking work so.
