FFXIV still has a problem with rng and pure grinding, but it's mostly a fun game; its major exceptions being Verminion and 70% of pvp matches. The coming patches will aim to make older content more solo friendly for people who want to enjoy the first 60 levels or so with little to no play time with other people, but the key components of being a post-WoW MMO remain. The only other MMO I have enjoyed this much was City of Heroes/Villains, but that was for the handful of months I'd played it. I have been playing FFXIV on and off--mostly on, as so many people can attest by this point--since late 2014. Its biggest weakness, though, is the pvp.
