I thought Putin said he didn't plan on occupying Ukraine for the long haul, but wanted to mainly destroy the Ukrainian government by killing it's leaders?

I'd like to imagine there's a huge difference in blowing yourself up along with the path a warmonger is using to invade your homeland vs blowing yourself up in some random civilian area to either instil fear as a whole, or just take out 1 guy who drew a picture of your prophet.

"CNN and MSNC have found Putin's past statements to be credible and there fore we should believe them that Putin only wants to destroy the Ukrainian government", correct?
A) I'm pretty sure CNN and MSNBC NEVER said they believed his statements to be credible, though feel free to prove me otherwise
