I tried the Jar Cannon lastnight, that thing is a beast for damage. Though using it puts me overweight. I was just standing in a spot where those rolling iron maiden things couldnt get me, and pegged it off with it.

What level are you supposed to be to fight Commander ONeil? Hes been killing me at level 54 for seriously the past 2 hours straight its annoying. He must have 20,000 HP at least. Ive been summoning the adopted daughter and using strong wolves and we take out the summons pretty fast, but he just hits way too hard and has too much life.

Im a STR / FTH build and all my offensive incantations do crap damage too.

Yeah I figured. I came up through the stone sword key lift in the underground river way. Ive somehow wound up here.

I bought a shitload of Kuriki throwing knives and it was a crazy battle of knives, a spiked club riposte (somehow), the summons not dying immediately, poison mist and flame sling miracles. I cant believe it.

Those secondary adds he does with the great axes are such bullshit. Luckily we took them out.

Made it to the Mountaintops of the Giants, these enemies hit hard...

onward to 500!

I am in the last area of the game and so far Margit remains the boss that killed me the most. Haven't fought the endgame super bosses yet so that may change. But yeah Margit is a beast for an early game boss

Made it to the mountains myself, but I am going back to everywhere else to kill/get things i missed before doing it.

I'm 80 hours in and I feel like I'm nowhere near the end. I've been exploring a lot, though... I get so distracted wandering around and discovering shit that I forget quest lines or whatever it is I initially set out to accomplish

I've made it through a significant portion of Raya Lucaria, unlocked the Dectus Lift and poked about Altus a bit... Still need to explore Sellia and fight the big bad to the south of there...

But inevitably I'll come across some road or cave I'm unfamiliar with and spend the next hour checking it out lol by then my kids are awake or I got other shit to take care of and it's two days until I can get back into it

I've been doing a challenge run and using only crossbows and I just got to the mountaintops. Pretty fun

Think my next one might be torches only

Damn, that's impressive. Though I think the NPC hunter that takes his place later is even harder to kill (HenryK is his name I believe, his armor has pretty good lightning resist to it).

You can access ONE area of Bloodborne without killing Gascoinge. You can access 99% of Elden Ring without killing Margit.

Yep! I haven't used them a whole lot because of how long they take but for long range fights they're really good. I've been using the crossbow you get in the roundtable hold mostly

I'm upgrading the pulley one on the side that shoots 3 at a time for status effects

Update on the crossbow run I just beat the fire giant. The pulley Crossbow kicks ass

That was a lot of fun to try out, but I haven't used it very much. I mostly only use crossbows for those rare times I run out of arrows and don't have the bones to craft more.

Just did recently. Damage is insane but I'm afraid the later bosses move too much to use it. It'll kick ass for the final boss though

I've been putting off the Capitol sewers forever because I don't want to deal with the hand spiders

The legacy dungeon in the Atlas Plateau has an optional sewer area, it is hard to wander into it accidentally since you have to climb down a well but there's hand spiders there and some other gnarly stuff. Fortunately afaik they are confined to one room but that's still one room too many for me lol

If they are as triggering for you as they are for me then beware Mt. Gelmir (optional) and Flame Peak (mandatory) later on

they're not triggering, i just fuckin hate everything about them

i would have just preferred regular crazy spiders

The sewers weren't too bad, only 3 small spiders on the ceiling and 1 big one hiding in the ground next to loot. Taker's Flames made quick work of the big one before it could act. The real nightmares down there were the pipeline mazes and the hidden platforming area after the boss

Also I made it to the Haligtree and now I hate horns
