Yesterday was a very close day, the lead changed hand several times and ultimately it was Araquanid who edged out the others with a much better performance than its prevo. Slowbro misses out on the top 3 by one vote.

It's time for a long overdue steel poll! Much like the fairies, there aren't many primary steel lines so we've combined 2 and 3 stages into one set of polls.
*Magnemite is here despite being secondary steel for two reasons: so tomorrow's middle stage poll has more than a pitiful 3 options, and because I think it fits with this group design-wise better than it does with the electrics.

G-Meowth > Aron > Honedge > Meltan > Cufant > Klink > Magnemite > Bronzor

Galarian Meowth is easily the best Meowth, and also the only one of this bunch I particularly like.

So many of these are whatever. Voted Honedge though I wouldnt say I care much about it

Meltan's a buddy and Galarian Meowth is a disaster, kinda love it.

The rest do nothing or are "... why is this elephant made of metal?" Like I get the idea of the copper changing color but Phanpy looks more Steel than Cufant.

Also Magnemite actively goes down because of the noise it makes in Pokemon Snap.

Cufant, Honedge, and Bronzor are "please just evolve already" Pokemon.
Can't say the same about Magnemite because it's the same thing.
I would probably like Meltan more if it actually... existed.
I didn't have any feelings towards Aron one way or the other until user Toxtricity posted his plush pictures in that other topic.

If only.

Meltan is easily in the bottom five Pokemon ever and the only things which challenge it for worst are the actual little girls as Pokemon. Absolutely wretched thing. I know "doesn't look like a Pokemon" is an overused criticism, but it'd be one of the worst designs in a free to play mobile game Digimon ripoff. It's not even a bad idea, just rare horrendous execution. A lot of this is going off the sprite, admittedly, but I don't like it a lot better when it's animated and I can tell the weird red thing isn't a tongue.

I don't particularly care about the rest, either. Aron is really cute and Honedge is fun but steel unfortunately kinda sucks overall. I also always find myself using a Magnemite in every single game the line is available in, for whatever reason (probably because electric types suck both in design and to use and steel is rare).

So actually I suppose I kinda like about half of them thinking about it. It's just the bottom three suck.

It's not often I see a Pokemon I've never seen before but wtf is a Meltan. I kinda like it though

Anyway Honedge

The Aron line has always been what I picture when I think of Steel Pokemon, so it wins by default. That whole line in general is just a very good use of steel characteristics. Stuff like Honedge is cool, but I tend to picture Honedge as being more of a "Possessed Item X," whereas the Aron line just yells out to me as an actual being that just happens to exhibit a lot of steel parts naturally.

G Meowth is fantastic, one of the best regional forms, so him.

I was undecided before voting, but this video caused me to vote Meltan.

Went with Melton today, which I would not have expected going in! Its pretty cute though. Runner up is probably... Magnemite?

Aron is my pick here, but Meltan is cute and I wish it was in a proper game.

I like Bronzor! It's a cute smiley disc. I think coming a generation after the Beldum line hurt it though, it's outclassed in the 'blue steel/psychic mon' area.
