Eh... I personally wouldn't bother someone while they're shopping, but I've seen guys try.

If you do ask and she says no, then drop it immediately. Don't keep trying with stuff like "that's okay, we can hang out as friends." I've watched guys do that... Don't be that guy.

So that's a valid argument but what about the other side of the coin where people are trying to be efficient by picking up milk and women at the same time?

Or maybe a hospital? Heyyy getting tested for kidney failure might as well try to pick up that nurse over there while im at it and maybe steal some rubber gloves. Ya know whatever you can grab to make your life easier later.

It's good to multitask. Like hooking up an IV filled with liquor while you sleep so you wake up drunk and don't have to go through all the rigmarole of pouring a drink and doing dishes. Christ there's endless ways to be more efficient I forgot what the fuck we were talking about.

I've done it before and its fine. As long as you go about it correctly. Don't feel bad if they brush you off though.

Edit: I also did it as a dare (Which was an extremely shitty thing to do) from my uni mates at the time. Not my finest moment. Actually apologized to the girl afterwards and she laughed.

no 99% of the time. i don't really see many scenarios where you'd talk to her enough to ask her for it. only one i can really think of is if you happen to see her a lot there but that would only be if she works there. like if you see her a bit and talk a few times and she actually memorizes you then sure you can try to ask i guess but if she says no then she's probably gonna think you're stalking her every time you see her.
