I freaking loved the Halo series. Then they came out with the one that had online co-op and I was having a great time with it. Then at some point, people online just wanted to play the last level over and over and I got tired of the series as a whole.

Assassin's Creed was another one. Loved these games. Then I got Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, played the first training mission, then I had just had enough. I bought Black Flag, but never even played it. I wish I had because I've heard great things about that one. I just got really bad series fatigue.

There was a time I enjoyed the Kingdom Hearts games. Kingdom Hearts 3 left a sour taste in my mouth and I pretty much lost interest in the series. Tried to play them a few times and stop after a few minutes.

Forza Horizon 5, the aesthetic just looks ridiculously cartoony which breakd immersion for me.

Deep Rock Galactic.

Mostly because I no longer have anyone to play it with and I'm not really into joining randoms.

The next gen version on PS5 is tremendous and the game itself is beautiful but I got maybe 8 or 9 hours in and just lost interest

I bought the complete edition of the Witcher 3. I last played it when it first came out, and loved it, but this time I couldnt get into it. I want to want to play it, but I just cannot find the motivation to do so.

Pokmon Legends Arceus. It was fun, but then Elden Ring came out so I haven't touched it since.

MGS4 just wrapped the story up in every way. Anything after that seemed unnecessary.

Games that put quest markers and quest givers all over the place tend to stress me out and make me want to stop playing because I know I"ll never complete everything.

I loved the first Kingdoms Hearts game as a kid. Then I beat KHII and realized how shit the story was and dropped the series really quick. And from what I hear, the story only got worse and worse from there.

I wont go so far as to say that I have lost faith in the series, but the Trails of Cold Steel arc of the LoH series started out (games one and two) as some of my favorite games of the past two or three decades. Then, the third and fourth games really seemed to lose the charm that the first two had. The dialogue was forced and the voice actors seemed to really dial it in, especially the Old Class VII members. The story felt so rushed. They introduced all those people from Trails in the Sky, but only in the fourth game. You didnt even get to play as Cassius Bright for one fight.

Werent the third and fourth games not even made by the same people who made the first two?

Divinity: Original Sin II is another good one for me. I started this game and was hooked immediately. One of the best games I've played in recent memory. I stopped at one point and never went back. I have no desire to finish the game.
