well at this point if NATO and the EU doesn't step up then they might as well disband, because all it shows is that when the shit hits the fan they refuse to do anything helpful.

That sounds like a bad idea. A neutral China is fine, but actively supporting the invasion will make them look bad.

mostly because, while not a member of either group they are a boarder country with fairly strong ties to both (also the UN) and have a written defense agreement put in place when we got them to relinquish their nukes.

why would any country believe or support the mentioned groups after an issue like this? where its shown quite obviously that any agreement struck means shit all?

It's not really a matter of "let"

We can't sanction China like we can Russia. They're a massive internal part of the economy globally. Half our stuff is manufactured there, Chinese money runs in the streets of every city in the world, what is it like 80% of drugs are made there.

Sanctioning Russia means a rise in gas prices and a few billionaires lose a few million dollars.

Sanctioning China or the US means economic collaspe. Every country involved would be hurting itself

No country would be willing to do it.

The only sanctions we could do would be so minimal that it would barely effect the Chinese government's decisons

They are probably both right. They're signaling willingness to Russia and disinterest to the rest of the world.

You're mad about this but not about their state-run TV saying USA had chemical weapons factories in Ukraine?

China trying to play both sides but the USA's military is literally 50x the size of the Russia and Chinese militaries combined (looking at planes, carriers, etc).

There is no way they would side with Russia when it came down to it.

Duncan you should just chill and stay away from topics like this. You are going to get yourself into trouble again.

I feel what we've done to Russia will work in the long run. They have no money to pay their soldiers or buy new equipment, and the public will eventually rebel we can win the war without firing a single shot. But all that is for nothing if we let China come in and supplement them.

The negotiations probably went like this

Us: don't help Russia

China: we will cut off aid to Russia if we can have taiwan

US: No

china: we help Russia

The US should put troops in Taiwan and immediately recognize it as the nation it is and put troops there

You don't really understand this stuff and you are oversimplifying it. You don't have to agree with anyone you are arguing with, but you should concede that you aren't qualified to speak on a subject you don't really understand. I don't know much about global economics either so I am not taking a stance on how it would be best to handle this situation. Just don't get yourself worked up about doomsday scenarios. The harder you push, the more people are going to try to bait you into getting suspended again.
