How did all of the main cast die? Like, I know Glen got his head smashed in with the bat, and I think Rick did some suicide mission after Carl died, but that's about all I know. I see Maggie is still there [Just randomly read a review of the episode tonight and saw here in a picture related to the episode], and she's been there since the start, right? Is Daryl still alive? I think he ran off with Carol to the other show, right?

The new season of Walking Dead started tonight?

Daryl and Carol are alive and currently in the Commonwealth community along with Rosita and Eugene. Maggie and Negan are at Hilltop. Aaron and Gabriel are in Alexandria.

Rick is alive but in an unknown location (possibly Commonwealth, it's unknown), and Michonne left to try and find him. This was their way of writing them off the show.

Well, shit. I guess I don't watch AMC enough to catch when these things are coming back.

I know the topic has a spoiler warning in it, but I deleted my message just to be safe.

All I'll say is most of the good or interesting characters were killed off.

I stopped watching when Princess showed up.

is anything worth it after the Whisperer arc? Even that made my eyes roll, but it made sense seeing a neutral enemy after Negan.

I remember people joking that the show could only have one black character because they killed T-Dog and then introduced Tyreese in like the very next episode.

idk, I'm mostly just watching to see how it concludes.

The Commonwealth appears to just be another community run by assholes with most of the inhabitants unaware of what happens behind the scenes. However there's a secret resistance movement that wants equality for all. Pamela Milton, the woman that runs the place, and her right hand Lance Hornsby appear to have their own agendas. They seem to run this community as if everything is normal, but there are social classes and currency is used. They also have a large army and arsenal to go with it.

I think as of now, Gabriel is the only black person that's still alive and part of the main crew.

But to be fair, I haven't watched since the end of Season 10. I need to get caught up.

I remember watching one of those previews for the next season and the actor playing T-dog was doing a interview where he said expect to see more T-dog in the next season. Then he gets killed off in the first episode without doing anything of note.

I think the Walking Dead guys did a lot of work to try to throw fans off what was going to happen

I know they intentionally did swerves that meant nothing except to people who had read the comic
