So... I'm surprised how Dark Soulsy this game is? Not in the gameplay mechanics or the level design, which are drastically different, but specifically the bosses. Like:

like look at that opening cutscene and boss design and tell me that's not straight out of Dark Souls

not to mention some of these bosses have just insane difficulty spikes coming out of nowhere, and this one in particular probably took me a solid 2 hours of retries to finally take her down (the video makes it look way easier than it is, each hit it lands on you does around 1/4-1/3 of your health bar, can stun lock you, and you have very limited healing options)

and especially toward the late game, the vibe gets noticeably darker and more and more bosses are just crazy powerful shits that throw all kinds of stuff at you

I've played it. Haven't finished it and am on an extended break. Maybe I'll finish it next month. I've also found there to be many sudden difficulty spikes, especially with bosses.

Ive played it and greatly enjoyed it. My only complaint really is I wish it was longer.
