Not gonna' lie, I am just getting to the mountaintop of giants and at this point and I now want this game to end since the later game regular mobs is getting all tanky and whatnot.

They made these annoying ass floating cat statue things regular mobs now and I'm not sure I am about that life that wants to fight those things over and over. I also love how the elden ring community can come together as one with some of these player messages, lol:

Some sorcery dude invaded us and I let my friend and that guy fight one on one, but two good hits and the invader's HP just evaporated. I'm guessing your average invader just does not put a lot of points into vigor or something, lol.

i mean the actual main storyline isnt that long. You only really have to beat like what 6 or 7 bosses

Beat the final boss and finally wrapped up my third playthrough with 100% achievements. BB and DaSIII have always been my favorites, I didn't expect ER to top them and I was initially vary wary about how From would handle an open world prior to launch. But I can't express how much I love this damn game lol. I have some minor gripes with it as most others do, but dayum.

Are you using an Arcane build or just Dex for Rivers of Blood? Most of that weapon's value comes from its weapon art and the bleed imo.

Enjoy it! I played the hell out of it obviously, and those "first times" are a blast. I still remember when I first started and thought Limgrave was the entire thing lmao.

Currently have 80 Dex and 39 in Arcane.

If you had 60 dexterity and 60 arc you would observe a noticeable difference I would think, weapons with multiple scaling seem to benefit a lot more from spreading the stats instead of relying heavily on one stat for damage

it just has good dex scaling, besides that, it's just a normal sword

Do you guys only get message appraisals for the first ~10 minutes of a session? Like Ill get one every couple minutes after getting on, but then it stops shortly after. Even if I play for hours, I wont get another one. Unless I close and reopen the game, then Ill get them again for like 10 minutes.

I dont care about them that much, but its just a weird thing Ive noticed. Maybe the game uploads your messages to the database it pulls from when you log in, and they get overwritten as more players log in or something.

My assumption is that it tries not to cheat you out of appraisals that happen when you're offline, so it gives them to you when you log in.

for real, the game is dominated by dex/int, particularly katanas. people only level arc for rivers of blood. it's a drag, everyone's the same online.

i actually put together a raw strength katana with fire, flame slash, flame grant me strength incant. i don't remember the name of it, but it's the really long washing pole one

actually i once saw a dude powerstancing dual heavy thrusting swords. respect

Winged Scythe and Golden Halberd are pretty good I hear. I also want to try the Cleanrot Spear, Maliketh's Black Blade, and Marika's Hammer but people don't seem to like them so maybe they're weak.

Lmao, he did the exact same thing to me too. I went to load into roundtable hold but went to the bathroom, and then after that was talking to someone in the kitchen. I was wondering why the game booted me back out. I saved the last 5 minutes of gameplay so I can re-watch a clip of what happened and that dick got a freebie off me.

Played a few hours today.

One of the erdtree avatars in caelid (the one close to dragonbarrow) gave me 96k runes after i defeated it wtf.

Edit Oh nevermind it was 48000 runes. Forgot to subtract from what i already had. It was just a random 5x multiplier.

So what people are doing is use a weapon on their left hand to buff the weapon on their right hand?

For example, I have a Blood Uchikatana on my left hand and then use seppuku and those buffs will enhance my right hand weapon such as a River of Blood?

Dragonbarrow stuff is scaled like higher than Altus at times it's weird, and that Putrid Avatar hits hard af if it's the one I'm thinking of.

Yeah upper Caelid is clearly its own zone. The mutated dogs for me went from easy to one shotting me as soon as I crossed that gorge.

yeah, seppuku's damage buff affects your character, not just the weapon. i think the improved bleed buildup only affects the weapon, though

I like the Black Blade. It's slow but the special move is really good. Does this aoe attack that does some damage over time and reduces total hp. I abused it on Melania every time she got knocked down.

Man, you really need to be geared and dressed to the 9s to invade. Tried a few to progress the lord of blood faction. Half the time you get spawned right in the middle of the action. Guaranteed 2v1. Bleed weapons everywhere. I also have really low weapons just because Im pacing that slowly and trying all sorts, so that didnt help.

Is there a way to change your equiped Ashes of War? Or do I just gotta unequip it off hand to start using the AoW on the right hand?

For example, I use seppuku with my left hand katana and then I want to use RoB's Ashe of War. Would I have to unequip the left hand to use RoB's AoW?
