I've bought gas for under a dollar in the late 90s.

Watched the movie "X" last night, and the entire theater lost their collective shit when in one scene they pull up to a gas station and gas was only 65 cents.

Sort of. I think it was somewhere close to there when I was in Baton Rouge, but thats in oil country, so the gasoline plants were only an hour or two away at most. My dad worked at the Exxon Chemical plant, so I think our family used to get a small discount at Exxon stations. They dont have them where we live now.

I remember 80-90 cents. I also remember gas being this high for while like 08-ish and gas under 3$ used to be shocking around the end of obamas first term

This. I bought gas at 0.98 exactly once, iirc. Gas was regularly under a dollar when I was a kid and I didn't think it would ever get that low again once I got my license.

I got it as low as 89.9 cents a gallon one time. I remember because it was the first time I'd seen it drop under 90 cents in a few years. It was generally around a dollar a gallon during my teen years.

I haven't paid much attention to gas prices in the 90s. I was a kid.

Not $1.25 but it was around $1.50 here in late 2019/early 2020.

I've seen it under a dollar.

Yes I was a teenager and I remember adults complaining about how expensive it was.

I remember as a small child it being .99 cents.

Cheapest I ever saw was 89 cents a gallon.

No. When I first got my license the gas crises was $3+. I've only experience gas in the $2 range in my entire life.

The lowest I remember is about 1.89 and I was born in 1988. I also live in New York state so our prices are higher than the average.

This, I have no idea what gas prices were when I was a kid. I didn't drive, so I didn't care.

I've seen it at under a dollar a couple times in the last 25 years or so.

Of course I remember a couple months ago. Why wouldn't I?

Born in 1981. My mom let me pump gas when I was a little kid and that was the price.

I remember Meijer opening and having a special $0.99 gas sale in Champaign, and a line of cars going blocks. And this was back when that was saving maybe thirty cents a gallon.

Not gon lie, if gas prices were as high as they are now, I probably would of missed out on leaving Michigan on road trips almost yearly. Cause we didn't have money like that.
