Definitely happy to get it, really want her DASB too. But I only have 425 mythril and I want to spend 500 on fest banners. Plus I might do a few ROP this time if they have multiple DAs.

Id really like her DA as well (especially since I have zero characters with multiple earth BDL)

I have both of Rydias dyads, but nothing else worth using.

I didnt realize we were getting the mini job dungeons already; Hopefully I can avoid making any dragoon HAs, but I might not even have enough abilities to field a team without doing so...!

I saw that Rydia's earth dual comes back on the Earth Labyrinth banner so I think I will wait for that one. That one also has two of the new limit chains, and it has Galuf/Ingus instead of Master/Freya. I like Master/Freya a bit better, but Galuf/Ingus are probably more useful for me at this point.

Cleared all the job dungeons. Nice event, especially as a Monday bonus with 12 mythril. When the harder job dungeons drop, it's going to be annoying that soul breaks don't count toward the chain count.

I think when we get the harder job dungeons, SBs do count towards the chain bonus.

However, they come with a whole array of new BS, notably:
- a penalty for using more than 1 off-job character
- a much worse RW chain
- a new unique debuff on phase change
- damage penalty for en-element lvl.1 and 0. (Not sure off-hand if they have elemental diffusion)

Ended up making Luneth and Kimahris' HAs, but the job event was all easy. I am kinda annoyed that Arc's HA doesn't work for summoning, though; obviously it doesn't matter here, but for the actual JCD that'll knock me down from 6.5 to 5.5 BDL.

I might do a pull on that just because of favoritism towards Galuf, but it looks like neither of the earth lab banners have much magic at all. Not sure how I'm gonna shore up that team!

The elemental ticket banners should be refreshed pretty soon so that might be an option for trying to get more earth magic.

Today was my 2600 devotion day, nice unexpected 15 mythril bonus!

IX labyrinth tomorrow has the same problem as every IX banner, it has one character I love (Zidane) plus others I don't care about. Just once could they give us a banner with Zidane, Vivi, and Garnet? Or Zidane, Vivi, and Beatrix? That would be nice.

Yeah that might be what I have to do. My phys earth team is pretty stacked though and Im pretty sure theres substantially more phys earth than mag earth.

I think I should be okay for IX lab (at least if I lens Zidanes AASB).

Zidane: AD/SA/LBO (+AA)
Steiner: SA2/AA2/LBO
Garnet: AA2/U3/gauge G+
Quina: SA/AA2
Eiko: AA1/2/LBGS

I think my team is Zidane/Vivi/Beatrix/Eiko/Quina. I have a decent Garnet but with Quina as support it probably makes more sense to use Beatrix. Vivi is way better than my 3rd best physical character in the realm though.

Yeah for the DK I used Mog instead of Quina; I'm hoping summoning multipliers and her imperils will let Garnet do decent damage even without support. I could run a one BDL Beatrix instead, I guess (though Garnet's imperils help Steiner as well).

I'll be going full physical for FF9 for sure. Zidane, Beatrix and Freya have sync/awakening, probably use Quina for sync and (ugh) realm chain to counter full break.

I might pull tomorrow on the banner too since FF9 is one of my more troublesome realms, I'd like to replace Beatrix with Marcus since he can imperil which would benefit Freya, Zidane and Eiko so getting a cap break for him would be swell.

Also this boss doesn't use the 5 second wall BS, thank god! I've been trying to get some sub30's on nexus bosses with my new Master toys but I'm always 2-5 seconds short. Gee wonder why _

Thankfully Steiner AA2 is a FBC and Eiko's LBGS can tank another one; otherwise I would probably just stick with Mog and Eiko's 50% critfix.

Really? I thought he was squishy for a nexus boss, even Eiko was breaking cap on him despite no magic boost besides Zidane's chain. I guess Marcus' imperils really helped out.

Speaking of which I made a new auto lab team using FF9 characters.

Orran, Eiko, Zidane, Marcus and Quina in that order.

First turn Orran uses wall, Eiko uses the historia crystal, Zidane uses the free chain, Marcus uses dual awakening and Quina uses sync, second turn Orran uses glint+, Zidane use HA, Marcus uses HA and if he and either Eiko or Quina finishes off the boss with Eiko's HA or Quina's overstrike sync command. It's a lot faster than using White Mages and even at max fatigue this team still caps. Even Alexander and Ramza get mauled quickly with this team.

Hmm, well, Quina would have helped your physical damage a lot, but I can't explain Eiko. Zidane's chain is better than the RW chain so maybe that's it. I wasn't paying that much attention to how much damage she was doing actually, it was mostly my physical damage that was bad, especially when Taharka went into the curled stance.

I have a lot for Marcus but skipping on him just because my wind team is loaded, my poison team needs jesus not another cap break, and I think my ffix team is going to be magic because my vivi is fucking loaded.

I am actually at a point where not a lot of upcoming banners help me, which is a nice relief.

I didn't use Zidane's chain until the 5 second wall at the end so it couldn't have been that. I used the free chain first with Freya's first turn instant cast then Quina's realm chain at the start of phase 2 to overwrite the full break. Even with Quina's realm chain my characters were capping or near capping. Maybe it was because I was using 5 FF9 characters and you were using Mog?

Took me a bunch of tries. I wiped to maze guard twice (first at ~2.5% and then again at 0.2%). The first two parts were easy (with Steiner AA2 countering the first FB and Eikos LBGS blocking the second), but my damage went to absolute shit in P3 even after maze guard dropped. I dont know if I was doing something wrong or what.

My tickets gave me garbage (earth x2):
2/11: Kelger AASB1 (dupe), TGC G+1 (dupe)
2/11: Rude LMR, Paine BSB1

Got the win on my very first attempt.
I lensed Vivi's AASB and got his Fire HA, but I had been wanting to do that for a while anyway.
The IX lab just gave me a good reason to finalky do it.
I mistimed Vivi's nuke-turn with the Sync (boss was in defensive stance), so that one did a very sad 8000 damage per hit.

My free Sync from the book was a dupe Kain Sync 2. I think I've actually duped all 3 of the recent books. I know the mage AASB was a dupe OK AASB, but I don't quite remember what I got from the physical draw.

I thought of that, but 5 realm characters should give a 10% damage boost and Mog's AASB gives 9% so that shouldn't be it.

My first try on 650 I got it down to 5% which was a real surprise given I was winging it. My eiko literally just uses 1 USB and let's mog hardcarry.

Vivi was doing work but I might lens his aasb.

I used Marcus and Steiner because I haven't farmed kuja's he yet but I got yet another dupe of his awakening. Honestly I am kind of tempted to hone that just because Kuja with 1 awakening and his dyad just fucked up Alexander so I know he can do his part with another cap break here.

Vivi finished him off just in time with a massive My Memory (charged sync command 1) of 4x6x29999 (720k) and he still had the linked ability in the tank.

Quistis AA1 from the daily!

Not sure Ill have the bars to use it for bio given that shes also on chain duty, but DA+SA2+AA1 should make her pretty great for Ultimecia.

Quistis can wrath for extra meter and she has an IC3 LM2 so she can juggle soul breaks. Though I guess that loses a sync command for her.

Is it just me or revisiting Deathgaze still one of the more annoying dreambreakers? Mighty guard, Death at the start of phase 2, and 2 70% full breaks. Considering he was the first he certainly is a brutal debut.

Also thanks to Dr. Mog's homework I realized I never used crystal waters on Marcus. Oops!

Yeah she has some options, but 10 bars (assuming two chains) is a lot for anyone to pull off without entrust support.

Man, AD+SA+AA1 Zidane is too good; sub-20d the Deathgaze reclear even with wasting a couple seconds delaying turns for all of the full break counters

Deathgaze has three 70% full breaks. It was kind of annoying. But with the power of my IX team he was still pretty easy to sub 30 on the first try.

Picked up Wedge's Sync from the Core/Beyond LotR. That's probably going to allow me my final sub-30 Bahamut, so that was great.

RoP started yesterday, so I guess that means fest starts July 2nd? Strange that it's so late.

Maybe I could have done C/B Bahamut earlier with a different party, but I'm using Dr Mog and Tyro as dps... that should tell you something about the quality of my offensive C/B relics.

Congrats on getting those Trey dual awakenings, I've been using him for all the recent fire/water/ice nexus bosses and he does great in all those elements.

I have his non-wcast AASB as well. His competition is SA2+AA2+LBO Steiner for fire+ice and AA1+2+LBO Leila for water, so he probably makes all three teams? That AASB kinda sucks on its own, but it should combo well with his dual since it gives IC.

Trey's awakening 1 is also going to be added to the Lens shop eventually, Japan just got it in their last update. It's pretty nice since it has 100% crit and removes delay and increases crit damage as well every other turn. No infusion though.

I had 0 Trey relics before this pull, so he's not going to be immediately useful, but knowing his AASB comes to the lens shop, he can certainly be useful in the future.

Finally maxed out my last historia crystal. I couldnt resist using the ticket even with the refresh coming soon; I dont think XIs getting much (if anything?) anyway, though

Still no Shantotto SA or AA, but the AA is lensable and I now have her dyad and LBO. The Naja USB actually looks like it would be decent if she had literally any remotely modern tech to complement it!
