Finished REmake and RE4 (twice), so now it's on to what I really wanted to play. Never played it, but here's what I know:

• Rebecca is awesome
• There's a train
• You dump all your items on the floor instead of in stash boxes
• Rebecca is awesome

I like Billy too. He's the smartest Resident Evil character by a large margin.

Ohh this has a fun boss fight in it, Ill be watching your career with great interest. One of my favorite RE games

Had no idea how to aim or do anything, so the first zombie took a bite out of me before I fled. Gonna have to use Control Scheme D or something, since it seems closer to other RE games I've been playing lately. Can't remember the last time I had to change a control scheme...

lmao, they won't let me put Billy's knife in the dumbwaiter. There's no way it's THAT big.

Pretty meh game. Worse than Remake.

Goddamn, I just got ovenman'd after reaching the dog kennel. I guess those jump scares are too tempting to resist.

All that work finding ring-shaped keys and stuff, just to open a LEATHER pouch with a keycard. A simple scissors should've sufficed.

Normal, I think.

But yeah, I don't like the grappling hook or the fact that it didn't get thrown away immediately. IIRC, in my REmake topic, it was mentioned that I'd need to lug that thing around for far in the future (after which it's useless), so that didn't seem great. I can live with dumping things on the floor like a godless heathen from the hills, though. Currently trying to do some brake shenanigans.

Replayed it recently and was able to see the flaws more apparently this time. Dropping items on the fly without magical boxes is worse since sometimes you have to do multiple trips to take all the stuff with you to next area.

Story is silly even by RE standards. Puzzles are pretty straight forward and rely more on the feature that youre able to swap between two characters. Can be cool at times, but doesnt require much brain power.

All in all I still enjoyed it...the graphics, music....but its a low tier classic RE.

Okay, got to the "training center," which gives off RE1 mansion vibes. No idea where the hub of this area is, so I'm just going to dump everything in the foyer and hope for the best. (Was going to go back and get the hookshot, but two statues block my way, so oh well.)

I was looking at the costumes for this game and I find it hilarious that Rebecca has like eight and Billy had three.

I looked and Billy has one good one, where he's in a suit with shades and stuff. It has a real "I just got out of prison, you guys!!" feel to it. Rebecca has some silly ones and some okay ones. I'll probably use the STARS prototype (?) with the cool hat or the b-ball outfit later.

Yeah, all the inventory management feels like it could be a nightmare. I'd probably have to rehearse a bit to do a speedier run properly.

i like that you can fight the bosses with either character but the game really wants you to fight them with billy

billy can take a beating and still keep coming
rebecca's health goes down to red if a gentle summer breeze hits her
i still mainly fought everything as rebecca

You have to fight the second boss as Billy.

I'd prefer to use Rebecca (pistol + herbs) for normal play and let Billy (shotgun) mow down the other fodder when it comes to it. Before I died to some cockroaches upstairs this morning, I had Billy clear out some lame-ass walkway where you're sandwiched by three or four zombies that'll just maul you without shotgunning. They even shrugged off a molotov, which was sucked. I think the room I died in had a grenade launcher or something, though, so I'll have to check that out.

Not gonna lie, though: Rebecca was in "caution" health for a long time and took about 5-6 attacks from crows, so either she's secretly Xena or RE crows just ain't what they used to be.

There is a unique outfit for the remaster. If you look on the back of the case a new mode is added in called Wesker Mode. I think the outfit is only available in that mode though.

Beat Wesker mode and you can use it in normal mode.

I feel like that weird pool (?) area is going to have a boss fight. It's suspiciously spacious.

Hope you enjoyed the Train because it's the highlight of the game really.

But yeah as you guessed, inventory management is a pain

It's not bad on repeat playthroughs, but 1st time when you have no idea where to go or what's coming and just have to guess. It's annoying.

I'm gonna give contradicting advice but you really don't have to lug the thing with you all the time.

You only use it like 4 times in the entire game.

At first, I thought the main entrance was locked, so I'd just go back and get the hookshot later, but then I remembered I entered through a hole in the foyer. Gonna double back and get it, then dump it in the entryway with all the other stuff I don't want to carry.

Why?

I could not even finish the game it was dreadful.

ESO's in maintenance, so I've been playing a bit today. That weird 3F pool area leads to the 2F foyer, so that shortcut's nice. Gonna try and have Billy eff up these radroaches and see how it goes. Also, I found you can hit the trackpad to do the separate/team up part, which should save some time later if I try for the 3:30 trophy.

Okay, killed the centipede to get that key, then unlocked some places, got an iron needle, more ammo, and fixed that angel statue. I also retrieved the hookshot and threw it at the starting point, but I could probably find a better spot for it in the next playthrough, once I know where it needs to be used.

I meant the giant bat inside of the church. If thats what you meant too, then clearly i didn't know this trick.

EDIT: I realized i forgot about the train boss. So the Bat would be the 3rd boss. My bad.

Yeah Centipede is easy the 3rd Boss is a pain in the ass.

RE0 really loves its giant animals.

As long as there aren't any giant dogs jumping through windows, I'll be good. Actually, most of the "giant" enemies I remember are pretty damn slow. Maybe because it'd be too cheap to have to run away from these clowns and avoid attacks at lightning speed. Slow with telegraphed attacks...that is the RE way.

Okay, what the hell is this invincible leech zombie that just hangs around and does a Stretch Armstrong attack on me? I can avoid it without much problem, but it's still annoying.
