Nice! It is a fun game. The RPG combat isn't that deep, but the side activities and S Link stuff are fun and the OST is beautiful. It's just a low-stress comfy game with cute anime chicks and decent fanservice. It's not gonna win any GOTY awards, but I'm still enjoying it and it's pretty relaxing.

Geez, Chapter 8's free time was beefy as FUCK! Besides the usual missions, everyone's max S Link events unlocked, Mao's S Link finally opened up, there's 2 new date locations unlocked that I tried with everyone, and Yuri's max S Link involves talking to everyone which took a while, but had some fun dialogue >_> I unironically think I spent like 2-3 hours just on this free time chunk alone

....as well as the sheer amount of fanservice in this chapter alone. Shihori groping Hinako's boobs, all the naked hot spring dates with all the girls, all the underwear scenes with everyone when they're practicing for the play <_< I'm gonna be disappointed when I play the 2nd game, where the fan service is supposedly toned down

There's yuri-bait scenes once in a while lol. But no, it's not like Persona where you fuck the person after you max their S Link >_> In this game, they just conclude their side story and give you a high-level fragment (which is this game's version of materia)

There is one chick you S Link with where she makes advances on you and when you read her mind, she straight up says she loves you. But MC turns her down. That's the farthest it goes for yuri from what I've seen. Besides you and other chicks being impressed with each other's naked bodies I guess <_<

Y'all weren't kidding when you say the soundtrack is good. There's something...cozy about it.

The sale just ended a few days ago, so idk when it'll go back on sale again. I think it was 40% off

Literally all I did to beat this guy was have everyone charge ether and use recover and guard constantly. Then when it hit 100%, I'd just use Hinako's overdrive by using healing, buffing, and ether increase skills. Then rinse and repeat.

Some people might call this a "bitch" way to beat a boss. I say, you are correct!

Alright, beat the secret boss, did all the missions, crafted all the items for the trophy, got the secret monster in Dark Cave. Looks like I'm ready for the endgame.
I surprisingly didn't use fragments that much. The only one I really used was Ako's item drop one and one from Mao that boosted my attack. Otherwise I kinda just forgot about them lol

As much as I like to see Hinako in her uniform or sailor moon outfit, it's nice to see her in normal clothes for once

So I'm in this emotional part of the game where I'm about to fight the final boss and I'm tying up all epilogues for S Links with this somber music playing the background. Everyone telling me not to regret my choices and keep my hope shining for the future and all that flowery bullshit.

Beat the final boss on Hard mode, fuck yeah! I'm really enjoying the artwork in these credits. It's really pretty. I'll reiterate that this game does have gorgeous artwork and soundtrack >_>

It's decent >_> Nothing amazing and it does some goody shit sometimes. You're more playing it for the atmosphere.

I played a little bit of New Game+. But I was kinda disappointed in it >_> Literally the only thing that carries over is your database on everything, so you can get fragment entries you missed on your previous playthrough and fill them out, I guess. Otherwise, some bonus songs unlock in the jukebox and you can fast-forward through cutscenes now, which is nice.

But your levels, your items, your fragments and upgrades, your bonds, etc. None of that is carried over here, so you gotta start from scratch again, which kinda sucks for NG+ replays

At least when I was dabbling in NG+ for a tiny bit, I was re-reminded how much Hinako's boobs bounce around when she transforms for the first time >_>

Alright, I guess overall thoughts on Blue Reflection 1 before I move on to 2:

I loved it! Yeah, the RPG combat and 'dungeons' are eh and the game does have some janks here and there, but the atmosphere is great, the art and soundtrack are absolutely beautiful, there was a great amount of fun dialogue and quirky characters, a lot of fan service >_____>, and overall the game is just really relaxing to play. I really enjoyed myself while playing this. Would I buy it at full price? ehhh idk, but I would definitely get it on a sale. I'm glad I picked this up on a whim. I can't wait to play 2!

idk what exactly, but I read an article that the director was pissed off that he had to tone down the fanservice for 2 cuz the US bitched about it lol. As for 1, the only thing I heard that got censored over here is that you can't look up the chicks' skirts in the model viewer, which you could in the Japanese version

So I assume *everyone's* memories came back judging by the ending pictures, but what about Hinako's leg? Is it still injured?

Also, what the hell was going on with the wish? First they said there was a wish, then Lime was like "nah it's fake lol. I just said that to motivate you to fight for us", but then all of a sudden, this wish is real again. It seems like sloppy writing >_>

I know Hinako does show up in 2 in some form, but idk if they answer that question there or not.

The only purpose of the bath scenes is fan service >_> So if you wanna save time, you can just ignore them and go to sleep. But if you wanna see some naked fan service, go for it!

I took a bath *every* single time and I can tell you that there is only like around 5 variations of the bath scene and the actions you can perform. Even the thoughts that Hinako has are pretty repetitive and rarely deviate from "I gotta talk to more people!" or "I know I can dance again someday".

I should note that while you're in free time, *always* do the prepare for tomorrow events, because they give you stat increases. You'll usually have 2 choices and you should always exhaust them until they start repeating events. They change every chapter/free time too.

It took me 40 hours, but I did *everything* too. Maxed all the S links, saw every event, grinded for the item crafting trophy, did all the missions. I think if you just stuck to the main path, it'd probably take you 20-25 hours to beat.

I'm gonna try to start 2 tonight maybe. All I've heard is that there's less fanservice, Hinako is in it in some form, and the battle system is completely different.

I also heard I have to beat the game on New Game+ to get the true ending? Da fuck

I haven't played 2, so I guess this is where I dip out.

Spidey is lying, he played like one chapter of 2 before the game broke and he couldn't get past being informed that his DLC was accessible.

True, I played for about an hour, then got glitched out in an infinite loop because of the bugged dlc. I confess.
