They're insistence on doubling down instead of admitting to being wrong about the COVID vaccine is killing them more. Do they hate swallowing their meaningless pride that much?

With another wave that's coming, I fear the pandemic will continue to rage on until those who continue taking booster shots while wearing masks in public remain. It's sad that it's come to this, and I blame both right-wing media and the stubbornness of right-wingers for prolonging the spread of this insidious virus.

Sort of. They're still human beings, and I can empathasize with being in pain/sick. At the same time I can't sort of help but feel like it's just nature naturally selecting for intelligence and it might not be the worst thing for the human race overall.

Sucks to be in pain or die gasping for air though, I feel bad about that. God that must suck.

The only bit of pity I have for them is that they are being sold on lies. But beyond that, they are basically saying they want to walk a tightrope without a (free) net. So its ultimately on them.

Yes, they're products of social forces and pressures far greater than themselves. Some of them would likely be shitty no matter what, but many of them are just dupes trying to fit into a group, in a society that has thoroughly destroyed most kinds of collective enterprise and kinship in the name of the cult of individualism.

Yes, of course. Why should I sympathize less just because their suffering is a consequence of their own poor decision making? Its a shame to see them lose their only life due to ignorance. I understand the anger and frustration felt towards them because theyre also causing other people to suffer, but them dying themselves isnt making it any better, as far as I can tell, so it doesnt alleviate my pity.

My sister is against any type of vaccination.

She developed Covid and passed it on to the father of her child, though they were separated and living apart.

He died earlier this year.

He was found unresponsive on the floor next to a nebulizer.

How did your sister react? Did she finally decide to take the vaccine? Or is she still a hardline anti-vaxxer?

As someone with asthma who had to take extra precautions until vaccines rolled out, absolutely not.

I feel sorry for some of the dumb ones who fell for the propaganda. I lose any sympthy the moment they start spreading anti-vaxx propaganda or attacking others for following common sense safety precautions.

It's hard for me to feel bad for them especially when they put up a GoFundMe page to pay for their expenses.

No. At this point, they're just doing it because of politics and are putting themselves and others at risk.

They're making the choice to ignore actual evidence and facts. I don't even really blame the actual people spreading lies or misinformation because they themselves are choosing to believe it, because it's easier.

Actually, every time we get a covid case that reports no hx of vaccinations, we kinda make a joke about it in the office then move on to finish work.

I wanna be clear. I do not feel sorry for them all (some i feel bad for the fact that they got propagandized into believe misinformation) but i certainly won't celebrate their deaths like skme weirdos do.
