i'm talking about the faqs or guides, to video games. When you need help and you look at the faqs. The original intent of this site, maybe?

Yes. I like the bookmark feature so you can always come back to where you left off easily.

I think the last time I used any was for Disgaea 5 a year or two ago. GameFAQs' resources were actually more useful than any other ones I came across, for a change.

No, I don't use full walkthroughs and wikis are a better resource to look up specific information.

A little. SBAllen made a map for the Hyrule Warriors games that had the map with their requirements on it. I used it to know the requirements for each map. Like how fast I had to finish to get A, and how many KOs. While its the same for most maps, some maps are different And it was easy to use I even had it bookmarked, along with the board topic where they talked about what element was good against each character

No, I google questions i have from games and sometimes the answers will be in threads from game specific boards but I haven't used a faq in forever

Sometimes, depends on the game. I don't find them useful for open world or metrodvania type games, but I still like them for RPGs. Also, some older games have better FAQs then what you can find on YouTube or on wikis, unless they were super popular games.

No, because I never try 100%ing a game, so I rarely need any help.

I still use written FAQs.
In some cases, it's better than watching videos, 'cause reading is less time consuming

sometimes. i've been using the FF8 guide a bit because there's a good amount of important items that are completely missable for some reason.

i do, i love the clean ascii art aesthetic that the guides have and when im playing an old game (im on a ps1 kick atm) i like to browse through them

Its been a long time. I used to download the RE2 walkthrough guides and modify them for my own speed runs. That was easily 16+ years ago now

Haven't in like 20 years. For the types of games for which I need guides there are typically wikis available.

The forums help more than FAQs for newer games.

Often. I didn't realize it was such an old man habit. Youtube guides are fine information-wise but they're annoying to navigate and a lot of people that make them are super annoying. Wikis are also good but if I'm just keeping tabs on how far I am in a game or something I don't usually need one.

Every time I buy a game I check for a guide I can save or cheats I can copy into a document.
That's why I prefer the text guides and avoid the HTML formatted ones.

If it's there, I'd use it. The last one I used was for Persona 5.

The FAQs is what brought me to this site, so yes.

If it pops up in a Google search, sure.
