thats the one I got bruh ._.

For anyone who isn't going to bother reading the article, its a rare potential clotting condition (avg. 3/1,000,000 people), and the strict limitation is basically "get the other vaccines if you can".

Which has kind of always been the general idea. Isn't the JJ vaccine only like 75% effective compared to the others like 99%?

This will be ignored by the majority of this board.

IIRC, the mRNA vaccines were in the low 90s while the J&J was in either the 60s or 70s.

Casual reminder that the probability of deep venous thrombosis with COVID is 10%. Which makes it all the more ironic and sad that people think they are making an educated decision to not get vaccinated because of blood clots. Being vaccinated reduces your risk of blood clots a thousand fold.

Now the anti vac idiots will start up again.

J & J vaccine is garbage and it's frustrating when people shill for it.

When people defend a vaccine that's actually bad it gives anti-vaxxers an opening.

It doesn't make them right, but it's not like this isn't noteworthy. The FDA putting a restriction on something now that was one of three that were HEAVILY pushed and even mandated just a year ago is pretty damning.

Applying this retroactive view of "well that one sucked anyways" to something like this is the completely wrong reaction to have.

I mean, the risk here is still extremely low. Just as it was when they first started talking about it like a year ago. This really isn't noteworthy.

I just want people to see the hypocrisy.

I just want people to see the hypocrisy. The first thing people say to anti-vaxxers is "they're FDA approved so they're safe." FDA word is gospel.

Now, the FDA says "well this one might have some issues, just giving you a heads up" and suddenly it's no big deal.

It's the same with the CDC. The CDC word was gospel for the last two years. Follow CDC guidance. Per CDC guidance. Quarantine 10 days, mask everywhere, etc.

Then they recently reduce the quarantine period and other things and suddenly we hate the CDC, CDC is incompetent, etc.

It's the same idea with the FDA. Gospel when they say what we like but misinformation when they say what we dislike.
