If they're intentionally misgendering another student, much like the kid's mom is doing in this article, then obviously that's something the school needs to address.

Also the fact that this kid jumped straight to saying it's his constitutional right tells me he's almost certainly following his parents' lead here

I immediately went into shock. Im thinking, sexual harassment? Thats rape, thats inappropriate touching, thats incest Rabidoux said. What has my son done?

On topic: I can see this being chalked up to bullying, but sexual harassment is a stretch. At my job if you dont refer to someone by their appropriate pronouns, you have to go to mandatory sensitivity training. If it continues, depending on the context, youll go up for review and could be suspended or fired.

Its not even connected to sexual harassment cases, which depending on context can lead to immediate firing and the police being called.

I think the school is cheapening public perception of actual harassment cases by grouping this in with that.

This is a classroom incident that should be resolved with the teacher and students (perhaps the principal depending on the direction they want for the school) and doesn't need to be escalated to headline news. What made it headline news is that the school is handling this awfully by charging the kids with sexual harassment.

Also, if you raised your kids to love everyone equally...you'd just use their preferred pronouns lol.

Its a local fox affiliate. They have nothing to do with Fox national news, and are more than likely Democrats themselves.

And have you read articles with people changing their pronouns? It convolutes the article for no reason than to satisfy people's ego.

This is both wrong and stupid. If you meet a man named "Michael" and he tells you "please don't call me Mikey", and you go out of your way to call him "Mikey", you're an a******.

If you meet Sarah L Peterson and she asks to go by her middle name, "Lorraine", and you insist on calling her "Sarah", you're an a******.
