Finally seeing a direct result of one of the shows. Like I've been seeing all the shows and while they aren't great, it's finally nice seeing the results on the big screen.

I mean it was cool, until it basically made any growth she had as a character in the show is gone. I get she had the darkhold, but she basically double's down on any character growth. I guess my biggest problem isn't that she's evil in the movie, but rather her motivation is shallow and poorly thought out. I just hope we get to see more of her because she was kind of wasted potential in this movie (though the horror scenes that Sam Raimi does with her were excellent).

I mean the shows only started last year. It takes time to make a follow up. Before it would be years before anything would get a follow up

I don't know man. Consider all that she's been through.

Her parents died at the hands of stark industries tech.

Her and her brother were homeless throughout their adolescence.

She was tortured under the mind stone.

Her brother was killed by ultron.

She was kept confined for being too dangerous.

The only person that understood her and whom she loved had to die by her hand, only to be revived and brutally slaughtered moments after.

She was snapped and gone for 5 years, during which time Vision's body was being turned into a weapon.

Just one of those incidents could be motivation for any super villain. She had to endure all of it and still be a hero. It only feels like a step backwards because it's slowly developed over the past decade.

Which is weird because these movies act like the multiverse has always been a thing.

It has because of the timelessness of the causative event in Loki. It happened outside of time and thus has no chronological place in the timeline.

It is nice to have something continue off the shows rather than just the reverse. Obviously Falcon and Winter Soldier will be relevant, but not until Cap 4 or an Avengers movie. Loki will be at least a little relevant to Ant Man, but that's a bit away too. The rest we really can't know if it'll matter anytime soon.

I guess this is only the 5th movie since the shows started though.

This. All of that, losing her kids, then all of her trauma and being taken in by the darkhold, and being corrupted by it, and she went full villain.

Even though we can give reasons and understand why she ended up that way, I can't see how she can be redeemed at this point after all of her actions. She killed lots of people in Strange 2

We've already seen a direct result of Loki. The reason Doctor Strange's spell in No Way Home went so wrong is because of Loki.

I'm not denying she went through the most shit out of all the MCU characters, I felt that it was wasted that her entire motivation for doing all the shit she did was to double down from her motivations from WandaVision. I mean yes she did get corrupted, but to me that is a waste of character what otherwise looked like her growing.

The idea is there wouldn't be a Tobey and Garfield Spidey universe that could crossover into the MCU if the event in Loki didn't happen
