Eff that! Go grab a drink while he has to put on his shoes and laptop in his bag lol. PSA Pre check was one of the best purchases of my life.

I don' travel often, maybe twice a year, and don't have precheck.

Don't know if I'm lucky, or just travel at odd times of the day, but I've never really had a problem going through security. And I usually travel out of one of the more busy airports in the US in JFK.

is your bf comfortable with airports and security and all that?

if yes, then yeah go scout out a restaurant or something and have him meet you there. serves as a win/win because you look good for saving a seat and so he doesn't have to wait around for a table or anything.

if no, go with him in the pleb line. my gf rarely flies and she didn't have precheck (until last time at which point the one time paid for itself because the line im not kidding was 5% as long as the pleb line) so i escorted her through normal security because she wasn't used to it

Put your boyfriend inside your carry on and take him through precheck
