Theyre idiots. These are just people with too much free time who desperately want to become e-famous. If they cared about carts, they would join a cart crew (they obviously have the time), so its pretty obvious theyre just harassing strangers.

Asking someone why they didnt put their cart back is not harassment. Those people can literally drive away at any time. They choose to get out of the car and engage.

Yes people should put their carts back. No, people should not harass strangers about putting their carts back.

I worked at Walmart as a teenager and the most tolerable part of my job by a thousand miles was collecting carts.

It was the only time I wasn't super pissee about basically everything. Got out of the store and away from managers. Shit was great.

I was happy to go all over the parking lot collecting carts and appreciated the lazy fucks tbh.

Honestly I like to think that people that don't put their carts back are either significantly disabled or wrangling a herd of kids or pets that they are worried about getting hit in a parking lot.

If you are a single able bodied person and you push a cart off to the side because you are lazy then you deserve to be shamed.

Yup. He's also done this with a woman's son when she said he was autistic. As well as old men and women when they clearly weren't able bodied. He doesn't want to make a scene that the kids will witness, nor does he want to aggravate someone suffering from stuff that is out of their control.

returning your cart to the corral is the litmus test by which basic human decency is measured

there's no law that says you have to, no consequences if you don't, but it's still an objectively shitty thing to do. if you're able-bodied and can't be assed to walk 20ft for the sake of every other shopper present, the store you purchased from, and the employees tending the lot (many of whom are handicapped as stores advance initiatives to help them enter the workforce) then tbqh you should be shunned from society

I always put my cart back because my town has a lot of wind and I dont want to damage someones property. I just dont like the idea of public confrontation over an insignificant issue. It might not have officially caused trouble yet, but it will eventually lead to an assault or shooting.

That's seriously ridiculous. It's blatant harassment. Pretending to be happy-go-lucky and avoiding swear words doesn't mean this guy is a good person or that he's doing the right thing. He's a bully, tbh.
