I was wondering because I realize that I don't like many water levels. I don't know for sure, but there could be many reasons. One reason is probably because I can't swim... Another is the air problem. Not all games have that, but some do... Also, there are usually unnecessarily huge. And because it's water, you can move in pretty much any direction... Kind of like flying, except I like flying better... Though, some flying stuff kind of sucks, as well....

Anyway, are there any like water levels you like? Mostly deep water, or water levels where you are in the water most, if not all, of the time... Or most stuff happens in the water...

The concept of "water level" doesn't really exist in modern games, and none of the game I play.

They were more for older games. Like Banjo-Tooie has one I remember. And Mario games usually have a few At least, throughout the games, there are some

That said, Subnautica is like all water And that seems enjoyable But different from normal water levels

The problem was, they were always there to add more difficulty to game play. Sonic had the air bubbles, Mario had the weird(different) movement characteristics, etc. I don't think there was one that made the game play easier on purpose. I mean there could have been. But I don't know of even.

The air thing sucked... Though, I think it was Banjo-Tooie that gave unlimited air, or something...

And I totally forgot about the swimming motions. I mentioned moving in all directions, but I forget that swimming itself could be difficult... Especially since every game want to go about it differently...

I like the water levels in SMB and SMB3. Once it hit 3D, it got a lot more arduous.

I can't say for sure, but I don't think many people liked them...

tbh, I didn't really like them in those games, either... But at least there was no air meter, IIRC... Though, the swimming was basically an obstacle on it's own...

Not sure, but I kind of want to say no... But I also haven't played that game in like a very, VERY long time...

It has been a while since I've seen those...I guess slow movement wasn't really the worse water disadvantage...

No; at least none that have the gameplay mechanics altered. At best I tolerate/am indifferent toward them.

oh, my opinion was that Maridia is one of my favorite areas in any game ever made, not just "not bad".

I tend to like water themes in general, but it is true that many or most of them make you move painfully slowly and that kind of dampens the fun.

also there are some strategy games where you're on water rather than in water, and those I like too. I very often play games like that with an archipelago map when possible, or as the water race. (hence my name).

I do think Water themes look good. Thats why I was wondering about ones people like. Water levels can look really good (or at least better) in some cases. But playing them is usually a different story Haha.

bloons td6 water levels are usually pretty fun because water units are generally stronger than their land counterparts, so having tons of space to deploy them usually makes things easier
