I've got eight models of Casio digital watch I am racing against each other to see which one is most accurate and which one drifts the most.... By their hourly chimes, I can definitely tell they have drifted. What was once a symphony in unison has become more askin to popcorn kernels popping when you're near the end. They were all set to NIST(www.time.gov) on May 23rd, 2022 from 11:53 PM to 12:06AM on May 24th.

MEET the contenders....

DBC-611G - Gold tone calculator watch, part of the modern vintage collection replica of one from the 80s. Very thin, on a quick size clasp bracelet. Notable features: databnk, exchange rate calculator

AQ-S810W - Green, thin Tough Solar Watch. Watch did capture very faint room light, but was not kept in the sun. Will this affect accuracy? It's still on high charge, one week without much light won't hurt it, but I don't know! Notable Features: tough solar, analogue display(no seconds hand) and small digital screen.

F-108WHC - A basic white style entry level Casio digital watch. It has only 3 pushers, not four like is standard. Notable Features: none

CA-53W - A basic style thin Casio calculator watch. It has two side pushers, one to switch modes, the other is surface level and allows you to set it. Notable features: calulator

DBC-32 - This is a more advanced calculator variety. It has datebank storage functionality and a large screen. Notable Features: exchange rate calculator, databank

AE-1100W - a "world timer" with 48 time zones and a digital world map that highlights the region of the currently selected time zones. It is the round version and not the square "Casio Royale" notable features: world map, world time

PRW-3500 - This watch does it all. Solar Power, Radio capable ironman with altimeter, barometer, termperature and compass, with sunset data and world time. This watch was synced up to NIST with radio signal. Everything else was hand calibrated to NIST on my computer. Notable Features: ABC, sunset data, world time, solar, radio signal

Which one will win the battle? Find out in about an hour. I can tell audibly with their hourly chimes it is NOT a close race, but my ears cannot make out the Victor.

What's the difference between a pickpocket and a peeping tom?
A pickpocket snatches your watch.

I was going to update but I was tired and was busy yesterday. There is one clear winner here. One watch was actually +/- 0 seconds.

DBC-611G -3 seconds(only watch to run slow)
AQ-S810W +7s
F-108WHC +2s
CA-53W +2s
DBC-32 +3s
AE-1100W +/- 0
PRW-3500 +2s

I suspect the one that was dead on probably gained and lost some time overall, but that placed it in the middle...there is no way it wouldn't have gained or lost throughout a week. Even today, 1.5 days later it reads dead on with time.gov....

It doesn't make sense! This one isn't even on a strap at the moment. Maybe that is the key?

ALL HAIL AE-1100W
