I watched 1-3 a ton as a preteen. I also rewatched the first one last year and it still held up. Never seen anything past 3 though

I don't think it has any fans. Just people who were fond of the first movie

Scream 1 & 2 are top-tier horror satires (I personally even like 2 better than 1). 3 is alright but you can feel the concept was a bit tired by then. Scream 4 was a better return though for me it struggles to be particularly memorable. The latest Scream had potential but it didn't click for me on the whole. I think its commentary on horror reboots missed the mark.

1 is possibly the best horror satire ever made

2 is excellent

the others are various amounts of good but pretty much all enjoyable even if they try a little too hard sometimes
