It's pretty fun. I like how they made the combat system more character-actiony than other Tales games.

The game was more than decent, with most of its issues being the last . . . I want to say third of the story?

The game needed more time. It sort of suffers from a light version of the same problem the second half of Xenogears. I'm glad the story is complete, because the alternative is worse *glances at Tales of Xillia 1* but it's a shame that Arise is not as good as it could be.

Yeah the end cutscene hallways really killed the momentum. Still loved the game but you walk five feet have like a 30 minute plot dump rinse and repeat like five times near the end. I'm sure I'm over exaggerating a bit but it was pretty bad.

I enjoyed it and 100% it but yeah the story and pacing at the end suffers quite a bit sadly. And the crazy thing is that the length of the exposition dumps isn't even exaggerated, it's literally like 2+ hours of talking at one point

Normal combat is fun, with Alphen, Rinwell, and Dohalim being my favorites to control. Boss battles weren't as fun - super armor for the big monster bosses is ok but for smaller creatures and humans, it's a pain. Also the soundtrack wasn't very memorable. But despite my complaints I still liked it overall
