Very important to maintain the status quo if things are going good for you.
Not so much if things aren't going good for you.
Maybe some people have varying degrees of "doing good for you" but I am pretty easy to please.

It's funny, rich people wouldn't have to worry about the status quo changing against them if they weren't so greedy and destroyed the middle class

It's funny what people consider rich and not.

If you have to work a job, you're not rich.

Also you're middle class if you have to work a job.

Do you mean your personal status quo? Like the equilibrium in your own life?

My goal over the next couple years is to get my house perfected for my liking so I can stop leaving it as much.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. I don't mean it from a political standpoint.
Like my immediate goals are to:

• Continue to maintain my current job.
• Continue to maintain, or slightly improve my current living conditions.
• Continue to maintain my current relationships and hobbies

Small stuff like that.
When you're younger you're always trying to grow and expand while at times doing more risky things. Now I just want to keep what I have and be happy.

eh, I thought that way once, but that only works if you're immortal. you don't want 10+ years to pass while "maintaining the status quo". one needs some progress and growth.
