Democratic backsliding and the rise of Trump-like leaders and alt-right politics across the globe, irreversible climate change, the first generation in ages that is poorer than their predecessors, etc. How do you deal with life knowing all this.

If I wasn't so sure that there was something and people, those who care about me, I'd probably have a total breakdown

None of this will matter once Russia goes peak dumb nukes the world because they had to transport construction materials to Kaliningrad by ship instead of rail.

A little gloom, but I'll probably move out of the US before too long.

I focus more on my own control of my life rather than getting bogged down into bullshit politics that have a lesser direct effect on my life and that I have virtually no control over.

In a way I'm lucky. This is probably the best time in human history to be a dysfunctional person with an empty life, because it really doesn't matter anymore.

We are on our way out.

Escapism. Books. Video games. Anime. Occasionally, I hang out with friends and family.

Basically, I fill my free time with things I enjoy, and don't leave room for worrying about problems I can't solve.

I work 12 hrs a day play video games and follow youtubes algorithms until my face is numb then crash for a few hours and repeat.

Hope and faith! You know how on a rollercoaster its really scary, then you realize its alright? Its incredibly hard to control yourself when in the ride and stay cool, we have human limitations built in. but you know its possible because the outcome is positive, so its something you could train for

perspective is more than just a way of looking at things, how you view the present has an effect on how you view the past and the future. Check this out, we could be living in ww2 timeline,that would suck ass. Instead im sitting here typing this at 5am and i dont give a shit cause im off today. Im prolly gonna do the deed and get a nap in then go visit my family.

Im so incredibly thankful i have that opportunity. Im thankful i can sleep at night without worrying about where im going to sleep. So yeah i have faith in humanity, were gonna learn this shit and kick ass. i prolly wont see the BEST time in my life, but im damn sure gonna make the best out of my time in life

kinda scary seeing how Trump might get reelected and then will do whatever he wants to do seeing how Putin can also basically do what he wants to do.

Climate change is reversible eveyone on the planet just needs to stop using fossil fuels and switch to non polluting renewable energy like solar or wind or use ocean water-waves to run the turbines. It would help if people actually bothered to recycle instead of throwing their trash on the ground. Nuclear armageddon isn't that far away either. Then we really gonna be screwed.
