The Boomers are a somewhat unique exception; they were big enough to basically ice all subsequent generations out of political power, and so adopted steadily more conservative policy as they aged so they could consolidate wealth and power. However, those who are poor or with medical problems tend to be more liberal and they also strongly tend not to live as long. Then factor in things like how the AIDS crisis killed an entire generation of gay men off... It's survivor bias at its peek. I'm in my early 30s I realized I'm not that conservative. I have realized thought that I sometimes come to my more progressive opinions based on different rational than others. Later on, when I was in high school, I started to learn more about history and politics, and it started to dawn on me how dumb my beliefs were. So I started to listen more and more to what the other side was saying, and I pretty much did a 180 on most of my beliefs.
