I stopped watching a couple of years ago. I still like wrestling in theory but every modern show I've seen has been mostly boring and full of guys who seem to have no idea what they are doing. I come on here and other places and 80+% of what wrestling fans seem to talk about is how much it sucks or behind the scenes drama. A topic/tweet about the most recent big match will get 7 replies A topic/tweet about Alexa Bliss wearing odd socks to Jey Uso's birthday party will get 179. So it got me thinking. I can't argue that it's not fun, because there are clearly people who still enjoy it. Now it seems like they slap you in the face with how fake everything is so I can't suspend my disbelief anymore. It's like everyone decided to go in a more silly direction. In ring stuff also looks overly choreographed and looks more like a Cirque du Soleil routines than supposed fighting. Most wrestlers today don't have that special something that made them come off believable and badass neither. I still don't hate watch any of it nor spend all the time complaining about it like certain fans do though. I still like to watch old stuff from time to time. Parts of it don't hold up well, but when it was good, it was awesome. Back in the late 70s to the mid 80s those guys would raise some hell after shows and get kicked out of my home town all the time. And civilians and police knew it was coming.
