Like I suspected, this didn't really move the narrative forward much at all and there was an awful lot of Aes Sedai scheming and plotting, but there were some good character moments, at least. I saw that the prequel, New Spring, was released after this book, so I'll probably read that one next. (Partially because book 10 was kinda boring and partially because I was moving at the time and just never picked it up again afterwards) Pretty similar to my rankings overall, though I think I liked book 3 a good deal more than you. Not super confident since it's been years, but I'd probably go something like 5 > 4 > 7 > 3 > 6 > 9 > 2 > 1 > 8 > 10. Dang, Kanon might be legit because I don't know we're going to have back-to-back betrayaltons.
