The problem is happening exclusively while it is plugged in or while it is unplugged but already had the issued immediately prior to unplugging (when it was plugged in). Most likely issue... legit overheating due to dust and other bullshit. Gonna get computer cleaner thing next chance I get. Hopefully this fixes it. Next most likely issue... faulty charger. Temp increases a lot while charging and fan issue always starts while charging is happening. All temps go up when charger is plugged in (overall, CPU, GPU, though not by much, just a few degrees when idle, but a lot in BIOS, plus BIOS fan speed increases from about 2500 RPM to 3200+ instantly when plugged in) Third option... fans and/or cooling system are not working up to par. This would require having it serviced. It is within warranty, and I've read that trying to self-service at this stage can void warranties. I really don't want to have to resort to leaving it in the hands of other people, but I'll do what I have to do if it comes to that. Temps don't look anywhere near red flag levels while it is running normally. They increase when charging but not by a lot. Fans will go nuts after a little while nonetheless. In BIOS mode, temps also look normal, but plugging in kicks them up very quickly and triggers crazy bullfuck fan mode in a minute or less. In any case, it never "feels" hot, only warm even when acting fucky. Last laptop which died 2 years after I got it would be legit hot... like as in one time I passed out with a game open and woke up with a big fucking blister on my pinkie because my hand was resting against that laptop and it was hot as fuck. After that, I've made a conscious effort not to let this one push itself to that point. It hasn't crashed or shut down from overheating or given any warning signs. I have not noticed any performance issues. CPU usage has indicated issues of slowdown for bullshit, as it runs very low. Fans are not kicking on loudly when it isn't plugged in, but I can't really do much for too long on battery power. A 3rd party system monitoring thing I downloaded shows mostly typical and normal temps for everything while on battery, and rates overall "wear" at only 15%. I dunno. I'm still a bit baffled but I feel like I have more knowledge thanks to looking shit up. I am hoping one or both of the first two avenues I mentioned here will fix shit, and if not and I need to get it serviced, that fixes it (replacing charger is cheap so that's fine if I have to do that). FigureOfSpeech 07/24/22 9:14:35 PM #237:	Tried compressed air on laptop. Helped a little bit but not a lot. Also set it to lower voltage and lowered power settings for screen brightness. Also helped but not enough to fix the issue. However, estimated battery life has jumped up like fourfold since I did this, and considering the fan problem only seems to happen when plugged in, this lessens the need for charging so it should at least help it stay functional while I continue to try and figure out what's going on. Ordered a cooling pad so we'll see if that helps (fan fuckery seems to be based on perception of overheating even though it really isn't getting too hot.
