Yeah, I think there was a misaligned mirror. Hubble is low enough that they were able to send someone to fix it. They also upgraded the CPU of Hubble at one point.

The article, published July 18th, actually says the damage is worse than they initially thought ( -_-)

It also says they expected it to be hit once a month and that the damage may be worse than expected, but still isnt an issue.
