Would the antilope really feel it's righteous that the lion eats them, but awful if the hyena does?

Are they indoctrinated with some sort of esoteric religious garbage how they should accept their role in the circle of life, which conveniently placed the lions on top of that circle (so really, it's like a triangle of life more like).

Mufasa tells Simba some garbage about how it's a totally legitimate worldview because they eat the antilope, but when they die they turn into grass that the antilope eats. So those antilope should be fucking grateful. Ignoring the scientific nonsense of this because I forgive lions for not being educated, I don't think it matters to them if the grass they eat used to be a lion who ate their mom, or an elephant who just walked around doing his own business.

This is clearly an oppressor narrative.

I always did find it amusing that all those animals went to see the birth of Simba, even though Simba and Mufasa would go on to hunt most of them.

Better than being eaten for not attending.

why would the citizens of Denmark support elected monarchies and aristocracy even though it's to their detriment?

maybe the animals are just dumb.

also funny how they try to equivocate being killed and eaten alive to the natural reclamation of your corpse after you die a natural death. as if they're even close.

Lions are like "we give back via our corpses after we're dead" as if the springboks and wildebeests don't do the same thing.

I wonder how their worldview would hold up once man arrives, shoots the lions, and paves over the grass. Probably some real dissonant Things Fall Apart vibes to that one.
