It would wait until a page was loaded for about ten seconds and then BAM! complete with the home depot theme. Or the old browser hijackers that would take you to a scam site or just give you a virus. Kimberly 08/09/22 4:20:00 AM #20:	It's not an unreasonable comparison when you consider collaborative wikis are the biggest alternatives to a site like gamefaqs for game advice/hints/help. Fandom is one of the biggest wiki hosts out there, and it keeps growing because they keep acquiring/merging with their competition in the wiki space. It's completely reasonable to point out (imo) that gamefaqs' usage of advertisements could absolutely be a lot worse than this, even if this change is a minor annoyance, and I'm glad they haven't gone harder with it. ..But at the same time I have personally changed my browsing habits to explicitly avoid fandom-hosted wikis anymore because I find their advertisements/pop-up auto play videos/etc and ugly mobile design to be incredibly offputting. On a slightly related note, control over things like ads and whatnot are why the Runescape fandom/wikia environment (then one of the largest/highest activity fandom wikis) forked off to create an independently hosted site in partnership with the game's developer Jagex. to be clear these are my personal opinions, they're not reflective of anyone but myself, and so on. also for the love of god don't @ allen over shitposts lol Haha you said we are are lmfao shit my bad --- My love, we'll make it.
