It still had decent humor and action, but yeah that's all it had going for it, considering what happens in it is seemingly the most fucking important thing that a bunch of movies stem from. Heck, even Infinity War had less threads into other movies it feels like.

But Thor Dark World... even Thor 1 to some extent, that shit probably didn't need to exist. Thor literally goes through the whole adjusting to Earth ways plot in the first Avengers again, which absolutely diminishes the necessity of the first 2 Thor movies. I guess they do introduce Loki well enough... but Avengers also kinda tells us all we need to know about him

I disagree.

Thor is amazing.
Loki is amazing.
Heimdial(Sp) is great.

Even Thor's little buddies are fun.

Thor 1 was a great romp.
Thor 2 had Loki and Thor dealing with mommy's death which was great.

Just seeing Thor smash shit with his power is what mindless blockbuster runaway Hollywood action shlock budgets were made for.

I agree Thor 2 and Ironman 2 are in the low tier MCU movies but there was more heart in Loki looking like Jesse from Breaking Bad in his prison cell after mommy died and daddy was dispatched with haste than there was in the entire Ultron movie.

Plus the ending was cool even if it didn't amount to anything.

The Eternals was the worst... although Iron Man 3 is really bad, too.

It's just that I didn't look at my watch praying for Iron Man 3 to end, unlike The Eternals.

The Eternals was the only MCU movie I seriously contemplated walking out of early.

Age of Ultron is good, it's just... underwhelming, since the villain lasts for one movie and had basically no build up. It was like a standard Marvel movie that just happened to have all the avengers in it.

Age of Ultron may be on the lower end of the spectrum but there are many that are worse:

Captain America: The First Avenger
Ironman 2
Thor: The Dark World
Captain America: Civil War
Captain Marvel
Both Antman films
Black Widow
No Way Home
Multiverse of Madness
Love and Thunder

I would put it around Black Panther level.

Black Panther is still my least favorite.

Movie might have been ruined for me by all the people acting like it was the best movie ever!!! because I remember reading all the good things about it and seeing people rave about it, then when it was over I was like that was it? That was the movie that people are acting like its the second coming of Christ?

Age of Ultron was disappointing but on rewatch after everything that's happened in the MCU and showing what it set-up, it's solid. Although the dialogue isn't the best.

Thor Dark World takes this title easily.

Tbh I get their significance. But I think if the first movie had the whole emotional stakes btwn Thor and Loki instead, it would've been better, cuz Avengers is where Thor mingles with Earth far better. I don't really count just being limited to the diner as like a pretty significant part of Thor resonating with Earth.

That would be either Thor, Thor 2 or Incredible Hulk, IMO. Probably Thor 2.

The incredible hulk is the worst, i know i rewatched it recently getting ready for she hulk. The genre has actually come a long way since then.

Long scenes of banner running from army, hulk fights dudes that stand no chance against him most of the movie. Only fine thing about it was hulk vs abomination but abomination looks so bad

The Incredible Hulk from 2008 is. The one with Edward Norton.

It definitely feels the most out of place since they recast the lead, but it does get referenced to in later movies, has a cameo by RDJ, and introduces General Ross and Blonski.

Iron Man 2 cannot be the worst, since it has Sam Rockwell in it, bringing it up quite a few places from the bottom.

I'd say Hulk (2008) is probably the worst, or maybe Iron Man 3. Iron Man 3 is kinda pointless, since Tony swears off technology and chooses to stop building/using suits, only to immediately jump 100% back into it all in the next movie.

But hes fighting an opponent (the army) that stands zero chance at all. At least Abomination shows up at the end to make things a little bit interesting. Hulk fighting humans with guns just sorta sucks.

And I wouldnt say that Incredible Hulk is a bad movie. The competition within the MCU is just pretty high in general, so Hulk falls short compared to the bar that the MCU sets.

Thor 2 was the only MCU movie I walked out of, then I saw it again in cable years later.

Its still by far the worst and the ten to fifteen minute segment in the middle with Thor and Loki does NOT save it from being absolute garbage.

kind of in agreement there. It's a film that really should have been 2-3 films. Too much was crammed into it. They could have easily made the first movie Spiderman vs Dr. Strange, and then towards the end introduce the sinister 6.
