I've loved this Z Fold 2 so much that no other phone could convince me to switch. The only thing I missed was the S pen, which I actually used quite a lot. So now that the fold also has an S pen, it's pretty much everything I want.

Fold 2 user as well.
Got a few cracks on the front screen and back but still loving it.
Paid off and still runs smoothly so dont know when i would upgrade.

Any other improvements other than a pen?

I was eying up the Z Flip 3 last year, and I guess this means the Flip 4 is out or coming out?

Hmm... My S10 still runs fine but the battery is starting to show a little age...

I actually would keep mine but Samsung's trade in values tank after 2 years (they give $1k for it currently).

Still runs great for sure. The main improvements are the S-Pen, a much brighter screen, a better hinge and a much faster processor (not that it matters much imo)

Was going to get it, but decided my Note 20U is still good enough for the time being. Hopefully the underscreen camera and crease improve enough in future iterations that I will end up able to jump over.

The flips have pretty below average battery. At least the flip 3 i got my wife does according to online and her though.

I have a z flip 3, can confirm the battery is awful. But that's just about the only negative I can say about it, great otherwise.

Thats a good point. Im trying to wait for a big change before i switch. Pen is nice but i barely used the pen on my note.

The increase size of the screen folded from fold 1 to 2 convinced me to switch from notes

I was one of the few Note fans who legitimately used the S Pen all the time. It is INCREDIBLY useful, so I'm pretty excited that I can now use it on a much larger screen.
When I went from the Note 8 to the Z Fold 2, the S pen was the one big downgrade to me.

I had to cancel my preorder because it was gonna be 2 weeks late anyway and i got lucky enough to get the only fold 2 at my best buy they day it came out.
Will probably get the fold 5 next year.

Got me a Fold 3 and I love it. Definitely would recommend anyone to pull out a loan to get a Fold phone they are so worth it.

Yeah depends how anal a person is that the crease affects. If you're a person who actively looks for it and can't let go, sure the phone isnt for you.
I barely notice the crease or if i do, i usually dont care.

Its understandable though if you're paying that much of your money you should be able to get what you want.
Unfortunately you have to make some sacrifices for phones that have qualities you want because most of us can't make our own cellphones

I've been wanting a Fold, but they are pricey. Hopefully in a few years.

Everyone who has never hold one complains about it but in reality you rarely do notice it. It's actual true sorcery.

They had one at Best Buy on display and actually getting to hold it and look at it folded open I really didn't notice it unless I intentionally looked for it.

This is kind of a dumb take because I'm not eating it. Touching it or buying it doesn't magically change something I can visibly see.

There's a 4 already? I cracked my Note 9 screen recently and I've been wondering what to replace it with. The Fold seems like something I want to try eventually and knowing it has an s pen makes me want it even mode.

Why are you shilling this hard? It's a phone.

More importantly why are you shilling for a phone you likely haven't been in the same building as?

I don't actually care but now I'm hyper-focused on the inconsistency.

Mostly due to mental illness on my part.

Doesnt matter if he held it, he would just look for the crease so obviously he would notice the crease. No point convincing otherwise. He has made up his mind.

One thing i will say about the phone for people looking to buy it is dont expect to have too much of a bigger screen watching something in landscape.
Everything you watch will still be in a certain ratio so you will get black bars on the top and bottom of your screen. So the actual video screen isnt gonna be too much bigger than a big Note or iPhone

I usually never watch anything on landscape because i usually watch something on the top of half of the screen and read comments or surf the web on the bottom half.

Z Fold 3 owner here. Don't see enough of a difference in 4 to upgrade. Might need to see some reviews.

Also, does it actually have a space to put the s pen or do you need a case that has a holder?

Now that Samsung phones no longer have a memory card slot, I think I'm going to end up getting a totally different brand of phone that has that feature or I'll get another S20 Ultra.

The case comes with an S Pen holder. Phone itself doesn't have one.

nope, you need a different Fold specific S pen. The Note pens would murder the screen of a Fold

Looks sleek and unobtrusive. Though I eventually upgraded to a batter case as the material wasn't the best quality.

No, Z Fold has its own S Pen and other S Pens wont work on it.

Just arrived, setting it up now. Kind of hard to tell the differences so far, but the s pen is a huge improvement.

Also I didn't realize the front screen was changed to 120hz. That's nice.

The front screen is considerably better than the Z Fold 2.

IC, ok, no worries.

I guess out of the folding phone lines, I find Samsung's Z Flip to be more my jam than the Z Fold.

That's if I was going to go foldable, which I'm not.

I still prefer ultra wide candy bar phones =D

But Z Flip has the ability to create the ultimate "Ultra-Wide" aspect ratio in a phone that I want.

It could've been extended to have a 24:9 Aspect ratio screen when opened up.

That's something I want to see =D

....I just cracked my S10 screen about 15 min ago.

....fuck maybe I'll get the flip 4, lmao

(realistically I'm not really in a situation where I wanna buy a new phone or add to my monthly bill... so I'll probably get a quote for a repair first and then go from there. Bleh)

PS: I never broke a phone screen before, or really any handheld device screen before. I am mad at myself. >:[

Yep I almost am 100% sure I'm gonna get the Flip 4 then. I can't really justify spending $250 to repair a screen of a 2019 phone I was already looking to replace soon.

One of the nice things about the folding phones is that the screens don't crack
