Puerto Rican living in TN. All of a sudden hes more southern than the southerners and stands for everything Donald Trump. Seems to be a friend of friend whos also a crazy fanatic of Trump and everything right wing. I do not doubt these people are legit crazy. I suspect my friend is bipolar or has some other mental health issue thats never been diagnosed

A lot of minorities who fall into the Trump cult are sick of feeling like white people try to control everything they do and that they just automatically have to vote Democrat because they're a minority. As stupid as that may be, there's also something to people not realizing how much it actually does pushes away minorities when you treat them like a monolith. As soon as a minority says they're not voting Democrat, they get yelled at and end up pushed deeper into Republican rhetoric.

If you listen, you realize that's a big talking point for minorities that vote Trump. "We're not a monolith and we don't all gotta think the same way". They pushback in a stupidway, but if people who vote democrats had more patience, they'd stand a better chance of winning them back over instead of pushing them further into the manipulations of the people not yelling at them. Others are just rich, greedy and don't wanna pay higher taxes. Greed is rampant regardless of race and people will put money over their own people no matter where you go.

I just wish we had an option that wasn't people yelling at you whenever you don't immediately side with them on everything

I don't really find conservative Hispanics that surprising. Look at Cubans or venezuelans for example. Social conservativism from a possible Catholic upbringing. Economic conservatism based on socialism fear they have from those countries.

Confederate Hispanic is an interesting one though. Just someone who got really into the ideology and made it part of their identity
